This is the tree that we recommend if you're new to bonsai, or feel like you don't have a "green thumb."

It's the most trouble free bonsai that we offer, and will be beautiful for years to come with minimal effort.

If you're purchasing a bonsai tree as a gift for someone else, this is the tree for you.  This Hawaiian Umbrella bonsai tree is perfect to display in a home, office, dorm, or anywhere you can think of.  It even does well in low indoor lighting!

Our Hawaiian Umbrella bonsai tree features tiny umbrella shaped leaves forming a dense green canopy, similar to a rain forest.

Because of its easy indoor care, this is a very popular bonsai tree.

  • 36 years old, 28" x 28" x 26" tall.
  • Makes a perfect indoor bonsai tree.
  • Potted in a 15" brown rectangle mica container.
  • Suitable humidity / drip tray is recommended.

Order Confirmation:

As soon as you place your order, you will receive an order confirmation email. This means that we have received your order in our system, and working diligently on our end to get your new tree out to you. As soon as we receive your order, we automatically confirm that the item is in stock, is perfectly healthy, and available for shipment. If your item(s) are available for immediate shipment, we will process the charges and submit the order for shipment.

Tracking:

When ordering, you will be prompted to provide a valid email address. Once shipped, we will provide you with a tracking number to that address shortly after shipment (typically within 12-24 hours)

Timing:

If your order is placed after 1:00 EDT time on Tuesday, your order will generally be shipped the following Monday with the following exception: If your order is being delivered to an address east of the Mississippi, we will work to deliver your live tree by the end of the current week.

NOTE: We will hold your order if there is a storm that will delay delivery!

This is for the health of the tree.  No exceptions.

If ordering as a gift for a specific delivery date, please contact us for confirmation of delivery date.

Damages

We take care to pack our trees and supplies to be as safe and secure as possible while they're in transit.  Sometimes, a box could get dropped or crushed.  If that happens, your tree is probably fine!  A few ruffled leaves, or broken twigs is just fine for the tree, and can actually help it develop a thicker trunk.

Broken pots, or the tree being broken in half, is not good.  While this rarely happens, we'll make sure to replace it if it happens to you.

Holding Shipments

We are able to hold shipments / ship later with a comment on the order. In the checkout process there is a box where you can "add a note".

We generally ship most orders with live trees to arrive before the end of the current week (including Saturday) providing that we receive your order prior to 1:00 PM Eastern Time on Tuesday.

Please see fixed shipping rates below:

$5 flat rate shipping for any order $25 and under.
Free shipping for all orders over $25.

We only ship to the continental US. Generally we do not ship items to Alaska, Hawaii, the US Virgin Islands, Puerto Rico, P.O. Boxes and/or APO/FPO.

If you are in the USVI, Puerto Rico, Alaska or Hawaii, please contact us to inquire about an order!

If you live elsewhere, and still want a tree, please be sure to join our mailing list to stay informed about our latest shipping policies.  Plus, we send a ton of free bonsai information.

We strive to make ordering from us as fun and stress-free as possible.

Bonsai is a relaxing hobby, so it should stay that way when you're shopping for them too.

If you're not satisfied with your tree for any reason, contact us and we'll provide you with a replacement, exchange or full refund.

Occasionally there are small variations in the products as these are live trees, which may slightly differ from the photos.  We regularly prune all trees as part of their care, and trees look different in different seasons.

For example, you shouldn't expect a maple tree to have leaves in the winter.
